HTC EVO 4G LTE handset has been delayed for Sprint with Pre-orders on hold.

Well, as you can already guess, the HTC EVO 4G LTE did not make it's May 18 launch with Sprint. It looks like the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE will be delayed, but not due to Sprint, until a later date.

Below is a statement made by HTC:

“The US availability of HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have both received enthusiastic support and we appreciate customers’ patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.”

We do not know when HTC will launch the HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint, but HTC has put a halt on pre-orders for the device.

We will keep you posted as to when HTC decides to carry on with the launch for the EVO 4G LTE for Sprint.
