Hello Cell phone forum,
I am in need of your assistance. While in Japan last week, I lost my daughters cell phone. Come to find out there is a $300 cancellation fee for her line. Due to my budget, I am not in a position to buy her a new phone nor pay the cancellation fee. The only advice Verizon could give me was to
A) add another line and buy a another phone, which would leave me with 1 unused line
B) find an old verizon phone in which I can have the number transferred to.
Unfortunately, I have 1 old verizon phone laying around the house, but the 'send' button is broken and therefore I am unable to activate it by using *228.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get around this? And I should point out that the my wife is upset about this because she assumes she is going to have to either buy a new phone or pay the $300 cancellation fee. With that in mind, I am somewhat desperate to resolve this issue.
Thanking you in advance.
God Bless,
ToneyP

Re: Lost cell phone
So sorry to hear about what happened. First thing I think you can do is to have the old Verizon phone checked to see if the send button is still repairable and this wouldn't cost you a lot. Good luck
