Using iTunes:
NOTE: With iTunes installed on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. You can then re-sync the contacts from the account with the Alcatel device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes and click the iPhone to access the summary page
- Click the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account or if there is an existing one, click Configure to select it from the list
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Alcatel, register the same Google account as the one used in iTunes, and allow it to sync contacts with your phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: If your iCloud account contains your iPhone contacts as a backup, you can export them as a VCF file for Android use via a computer with Internet access.
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the file is downloaded on the PC, import it to Google Contacts or instead skip this step and:
- Connect the Alcatel OneTouch Conquest to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phones memory, and use the Import option from the Contacts apps menu to import the VCF file to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: "My Contacts Backup" is an app for iOS which can be used to back up your iPhone contacts in the form of a vCard file, which can then be sent to any phone via email. This method does not require a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone
- Open the application and tap Backup
- Once the vCard file is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure that the vCard file is attached to it
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Alcatel phone and open the email to download the attached file
- Import the vCard using the Contacts application
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least you can use Send Anywhere a third party app for iOS and Android which can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files via a P2P connection, without needing a computer.
- Install Send Anywhere on your iPhone via the App Store
- Install the same app on the Alcatel via Google Play Store
- Launch the application on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send and choose a sharing method. Tapping Generate QR Code on the iPhone will allow you to begin the transfer after you scan the resulting code with the Alcatel phones camera. Alternatively tap Receive on the Android device, and enter the transfer code randomly generated on the iPhone
