Back Up & Restore App Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Tap Backup & reset under Personal
- Turn Back up my data ON to back up app data, settings, passwords etc. to your Google account
- Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data to be automatically restored when signing in with your backup account
Back Up & Restore Contacts:
- Launch Settings
- Access Accounts and select an account type
- Tap the account you want to sync contacts with
- Tick the Contacts check box
- Tap Menu > Sync Now
NOTE: You can restore contacts backed up using the method above the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Allview V2 Viper S to your computer via USB
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- On the computer, launch the File Explorer
- Locate and copy the media files on the phone
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cord
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the computer
- Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and you can safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
