Browsing the Web:
- Open the "Internet" app. (It's usually located on the home screen, but if missing, it can be found in the apps drawer)
- Tap the "URL box" located at the top of the screen
- Type in the web address or the desired search keywords
- Once on a webpage, you can:
- Tap a link to open it or press and hold a link to access additional options
- Tap an email address to start composing an email to that specific address
- Press and hold an image to copy, save or set it as your handset's wallpaper
- To return to the previously accessed webpage, tap the "menu" icon and then press the "back" button
Tips:
- To view a webpage in fullscreen mode, tap the "menu" button > "Settings" > "General" and then select "Fullscreen".
- To display the full desktop version of a webpage, tap "menu" > "Desktop view"
- To use private browsing, tap the "tabs" button in the browser and press the "incognito" button. While using this feature, browser history and cookies are not saved.
Using Browser Tabs:
- While browsing the Internet, you can tap the "tabs" icon to open the tab menu
- Tap the "+" button to add a new tab
- To switch between tabs, tap the "tabs" button and swipe left or right to browse through the open taps. Press the one that you wish to switch to
- To close a tab, press the "X" icon associated to the desired window, in the tab menu
Saving Web Content For Later:
Your smartphone is capable of loading webpages even if you don't have an active Internet connection. In order to take advantage of this feature, you need to:
- Press the "menu" button while viewing the desired webpage
- Tap the "+" button
- Select "Reading list" or "Watch list"
Bookmarking a Webpage:
- Access the "Internet" app
- When viewing the desired webpage, press the "menu" icon, tap "+" > "Bookmarks"
- Optionally, you can edit the bookmark name and other settings
- Tap "Done" when ready to save the bookmark
Note: to view and open a bookmark, press the "menu" icon on your device and select "Bookmarks". Navigate through the bookmarks and tap the one that you wish to open.
Using the Browsing History:
- Access the "Internet" app
- Tap the "menu" button, and select "History"
- Swipe to the "History" or "Most visited" tab
- Browse through the webpages and tap the one that you wish to open
Clearing the Browsing History:
- Open the "Internet" app and press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Settings" > "Privacy & security" > "Clear history"
- Confirm by pressing "OK"
