Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then you can easily re-sync the contacts from the account with your Android device.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- After it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes to reveal the summary page
- Access the Info tab and mark the check boxes associated with Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account if applicable
- Click Apply to start the sync
- When done, switch to the Desire 626s, register the Google account on it, and allow it to sync contacts with your Android phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: Assuming you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, your iPhone contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access it on a computer with Internet access, and export the contacts for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on your PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard file is downloaded on the computer, import it to Google Contacts, or alternatively skip this step and instead:
- Connect the Desire 626s to your computer via USB and transfer the vCard file to the phone storage. Then open People, press Menu and use the Import function to transfer the vCard files contents to your phonebook
Use My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: If you are looking for methods of transferring contacts without needing a computer with access to the Internet, you can try several third party apps designed for contact transfer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and send iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the application and tap Backup
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email to compose a new email containing the vCard backup file as an attachment
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the HTC Desire 626s and open the email
- Download the attached file
- Open People and use the Import option to obtain the contacts from the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least, Send Anywhere is another third party app for Android and iOS. It uses a P2P connection to transfer various types of files, including contacts, cross-platform and without the need of a computer.
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the HTC device from the Google Play Store
- Launch the application on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Choose a transfer method. You can tap Generate QR code on the iPhone to create a code that can be scanned with the HTC phones camera, or you can tap Receive and manually enter the transfer code from the iPhone on the Desire 626s
