Google Drive and Dropbox

Uploading Files to Google Drive:

  1. While on the home screen, press the "All Apps" icon
  2. Scroll to and open "Drive"
  3. Press the "Menu" key on your device
  4. Tap "Add new"
  5. Select "Upload"
  6. Select the application that you wish to complete the action with and tap "Always" or "Just once"
  7. Open the folder / album containing the file that you wish to upload
  8. Tap the file to start the uploading process in "My Drive"

Accessing Files from Google Drive:

  1. Tap the "All Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "Drive"
  3. Tap and hold the desired file and then select "Make available offline"
  4. The file will now be saved on your device

Uploading Files to Dropbox:

  1. Tap "All Apps" on the home screen
  2. Browse for and tap "Dropbox"
  3. Tap the "Dropbox" icon located in the upper-left corner of the display
  4. Press the "Menu" key on your device and then tap "Upload here"
  5. Select the desired file type
  6. Checkmark the files that you wish to add into Dropbox by tapping them
  7. Press "Upload"

Accessing Photos from Dropbox:

  1. Tap the "All Apps" icon on the home screen and access "Dropbox"
  2. Scroll to the desired file and then tap it
  3. Tap the image to make the Dropbox menu bar appear
  4. Press the "Menu" icon in the menu bar (depicted as three vertical dots)
  5. Select "Export"
  6. Tap "Save to SD card"
  7. Browse to the location where you wish to save the file and then tap "Export"
  8. Once the file is saved on your device, press the "Home" key to return to the home screen
  9. You can now view your file by opening the apps drawer and accessing "Gallery"


Transferring Files

Transferring files with your computer:

  1. Connect your smartphone to your PC using the USB cable that came with your handset
  2. On the computer's screen, click on the "Open folder to view files" option in the AutoPlay window
  3. A new window showing the contents of your smartphone's memory card should now appear
  4. Copy and paste files from and to your computer / smartphones as you see fit. (music files should go into the "Music" folder, photos and videos captured with the camera are usually saved into the "DCIM" folder etc.)


Syncing Options

Changing Sync Settings:

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key on your device
  2. Select "System settings"
  3. Under "Accounts", select the desired account type.
  4. Tap the desired account
  5. Mark or unmark the checkboxes associated with various syncing options
  6. When you've finished with these changes, tap the "Back" key on your device
