Using iTunes:

NOTE: With iTunes installed on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the DuraForce XD.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes to view the device’s summary page
  4. Access the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account in iTunes, or click “Configure” and choose an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once done, switch to the Kyocera device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard file format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and click “Contacts”
  4. Select the contact you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard file is downloaded, import it to “Google Contacts” or alternatively, sip this step and instead:
  7. Connect the Hydro DuraForce XD to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage and use the “Contacts” app to import it

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, you can also use third party apps to transfer contacts without access to a PC. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Make sure the email contains the vCard as an attachment, and send it to your own address
  5. Switch to the Kyocera DuraForce XD, open the email, and download the vCard file
  6. Open “Contacts” and use the “Import” feature to add the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Last but not least, you can use Send Anywhere (app for iOS and Android) to transfer your contacts from one phone to another over a peer-to-peer connection. To do this:

  1. Open the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Kyocera phone
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone, or “Receive” on the Kyocera DuraForce XD
