Using iTunes:
NOTE: With iTunes installed on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the DuraForce XD.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes to view the devices summary page
- Access the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account in iTunes, or click Configure and choose an existing account
- Click Apply and wait for the sync to complete
- Once done, switch to the Kyocera device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard file format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and click Contacts
- Select the contact you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard file is downloaded, import it to Google Contacts or alternatively, sip this step and instead:
- Connect the Hydro DuraForce XD to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage and use the Contacts app to import it
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, you can also use third party apps to transfer contacts without access to a PC. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- After the backup file is done, tap Email
- Make sure the email contains the vCard as an attachment, and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Kyocera DuraForce XD, open the email, and download the vCard file
- Open Contacts and use the Import feature to add the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least, you can use Send Anywhere (app for iOS and Android) to transfer your contacts from one phone to another over a peer-to-peer connection. To do this:
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Kyocera phone
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone, or Receive on the Kyocera DuraForce XD
