Verizon alert sounds

Most times i answer my cell, I get a 5 second alert sound that sounds like a busy signal. Can't talk until it ends. I've turned off the call connect alert setting on the phone - no help. Verion wireless has no idea how to remove this annoying alert.

this also sounds like a deffect take it back to a corp. store and have it switched and get a new phone you have a year warrenty on it.
