I was wondering how long the ring tones can be. I have uploaded a few to my phone with no problem as mp3 files and they work but they only last 7 or 8 seconds.....is there a different file type I should send them as?
Also how do you delete the ringtones if you dont want them

Well any longer than 30 seconds and it's either going to voicemail or someone's got nothing better to do than listen to your ringback tones.

Re: how long can custom ringtones be
I have a few ringtones on my phone that are longer then 30 seconds, I think the longest is only about 40 seconds tho. So I know they can be longer then 30 seconds.

Re: how long can custom ringtones be
There are ringtones which are longer than 30 to 40 seconds infact i have in my mobile. If you want to delete some ringtones then first select that ringtone then go to options and then go to delete.

Re: how long can custom ringtones be
i think the point everyone here is making is that you can have a ringtone as long as you want (as long as you have enough memory on your phone to support it) but there is no need because after 15 - 20 seconds or so either you've already answered, the call went to voice mail or they've hung up. so adding a ringtone greater than 15 -20 senconds is pointless. If you really like your mp3 file that much, just add it to a playlist and listen to it as a song instead of a ringtone.
As for deleting the ringtone, if you cant delete it from the ringtone menu using options>delete, then you can use Bitpim to delete it straight from the file system.
