Transferring Contacts Using iTunes:

iTunes can be used as a contact transfer tool, as you can sync your iPhone's contacts with a Google account. You can then sync your Google contacts with your LG smartphone, in order to import the contacts. Synced contacts come with their address, email, contact notes and image, as well as any other detail provided within the contact. For this method you need a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  3. Once connected, your iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to open the summary page
  4. Go to the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
  6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  7. Register your Google account in iTunes, if you haven't done so before. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and choose from an existing account
  8. Click "Apply" to commence the syncing process
  9. On the LG Optimus Zone 2, register the same account as the one used in iTunes. (NOTE: if you need to add it, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  10. Set Google so that it can sync contacts with your Zone 2

Transferring Contacts using iCloud:

The iCloud service can be used to export contacts from your iPhone, as a VCF file. If you've used iCloud before, then your contacts should be backed up on your account. To perform this method of contact transfer, you need access to a computer with Internet.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer, and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts that you wish to export
  4. Click the icon depicting a cog wheel. It's located at the bottom-left area of the screen
  5. Select "Export vCard" and wait for your computer to download the VCF file containing the selected contacts
  6. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step, and follow the next one instead:
  7. Connect the Optimus Zone 2 to your PC via USB, and copy the vCard file to the "sdcard" directory. Next, launch the "Contacts" app, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" and choose to import from the SD card. Select an account if necessary, and load the vCard file

Transferring Contacts Using "My Contacts Backup":

"My Contacts Backup" is an iOS application that can be used for transferring contacts to an Android device. The application can back up all of your iPhone contacts in a VCF file, which can then be sent to your Optimuz Zone 2 via email. For this method you are not required to have access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and download "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file is created, tap "Email" to attach it to a new email
  4. Send the email containing the attachment to your own Gmail address
  5. On the Zone 2, open the email and download the vCard file
  6. Import the VCF file's contents using the "Contacts" application and the "Import from SD" function

Transferring Contacts via "Send Anywhere":

Another application that you can use to transfer contacts without needing a computer is "Send Anywhere". This is an iOS and Android app that can transfer contacts and other types of files through a P2P connection.

  1. From the Google Play Store, download "Send Anywhere" on the Optimus Zone 2
  2. Install the same app on your iPhone, from the App Store
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts that you wish to share, and tap "Send"
  6. Finally, select the desired sharing method. By tapping "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, you can generate a code that can be scanned with the LG smartphone's camera in order to commence the transfer. You can also tap "Receive" on the Zone 2, and type in the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
