Clearing the App Cache / Data:

NOTE: In case one of your apps isn't working as intended, it crashes, freezes etc. then you might be able to fix these issues by clearing the application's cache or data. Clearing an app's cache might solve the issues without losing the personal data stored within the app. If clearing the cache doesn't help, then you can try and clear the app's data.

WARNING! Clearing an application's data will delete all your personal information stored within the app, including settings, saved games, log in and credit card information.

    1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "System Settings"
    3. Go to "General"
    4. Tap "Apps" under "Device"
    5. Swipe to the "All" screen
    6. Tap "Clear cache"
    7. If clearing the cache hasn't solved the issues, tap "Clear data"
    8. Tap "OK" when prompted

    Clearing the Phone Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your smartphone isn't working correctly, it crashes or freezes etc. then you might want to apply a factory reset on your device. However, before factory resetting your smartphone, you should consider wiping the phone's cache. This could solve the issues without losing any personal information stored on the internal memory. To wipe the LG VOLT's cache partition:

    1. From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to the "General" tab
    4. Access "Storage"
    5. Wait for your smartphone to calculate the data
    6. Tap "Cached data" > "OK"
    7. Wait for the cache partition to be cleared. This may take a while, depending on the amount of information being processed
    8. After the wipe is complete, the screen will refresh and no data will be cached

NOTE: If you're still experiencing the same issues even after you've wiped the cache partition, then you might want to factory reset your smartphone. To learn how you can master reset the LG VOLT, visit this link.

    Safe Mode Management

NOTE: In case you're experiencing issues with a malicious third party application that prevents you from uninstalling it while running, then you can reboot your smartphone in safe mode, and remove the application from there. In Safe Mode, all third party apps are disabled.

Rebooting in Safe Mode and Uninstalling an Application:

    2. Tap and hold the "Power off" option
    3. Review the information provided in the "Reboot to safe mode" pop-up and tap "OK"
    4. After your smartphone restarts, a "Safe Mode" label should be present at the bottom-left corner of the screen
    5. In order to remove an app from safe mode, press the "Menu" key while on a home screen
    6. Tap "System settings" and go to "General"
    7. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
    8. Swipe to the "All" screen and tap the desired app
