    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. From the home screen tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
    3. Tap "Battery" and enable "Battery Saver" by tapping the ON / OFF switch
    4. Select "Immediately" for the time interval to start the mode
    5. To further customize how Battery Saving Mode works, clear or tick the boxes next to the available options

    Adjust the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. From the phone's "Settings" menu, tap "Display"
    2. Tap "Brightness" and drag the slider to the left
    3. Press "Back" and go to the "Display" menu
    4. Tap "Screen timeout" and choose a lower value such as "15 seconds"

    Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and Hotspot:

    NOTE: You can improve your phone's battery performance on the long run by disabling all the connectivity features when they are not in use.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Tethering & Networks"
    3. Tap "Mobile Hotspot"
    4. Tap the "ON / OFF" switch to disable Mobile Hotspot
    5. Press "Back" to return to the "Settings" menu
    6. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Location" > "Mode" > "Battery saving (Networks only)"
    7. Press "Back" two times to return to "Settings"
    8. Tap the "ON / OFF" switches associated with "Wi-Fi" and "Bluetooth" to disable these features

    Change the Sync Settings for Apps:

    NOTE: By setting your device to sync less data or less often, you can improve the phone's battery performance on the long run. To change the sync settings of apps:

    1. Tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "Personal"
    4. Tap "Accounts & Sync" and disable "Auto-sync data"
    5. Tap an application under "Accounts" to change individual sync settings for it

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu and tap "Mobile data"
    2. Press "Menu"
    3. Enable "Restrict background data"
    4. Tap "OK" to confirm

    Minimize the Use of 3rd Party Apps:

    NOTE: Some third party apps can affect your phone's battery performance even when you are not using them, assuming they perform regular background tasks and so on. To avoid unnecessary battery life drainage, disable or uninstall 3rd party apps you rarely, or never use.

    1. Go to "Settings"
    2. Under "Device", tap "Apps"
    3. Access the "Downloaded" tab and select an application
    4. Tap "Force stop" to disable the app
    5. To completely remove the app instead, tap "Uninstall"

    Use 2G instead of 4G Connectivity:

    1. From the phone's "Settings" menu go to "Tethering & Networks"
    2. Tap "Mobile networks"
    3. Enable "Use only 2G networks"
    4. Clear the check box when you want to re-enable 4G speeds

    Keep the Phone Up to Date:

    NOTE: Certain software updates include improvements to battery life, so it's recommended that you keep your handset up to date. To manually check if new updates are available:

    1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen and go to "Settings"
    2. Tap "System" > "About phone"
    3. Tap "Update center" > "System updates"
    4. Press "Check now" and if an update is available, follow the on-screen steps to apply it on your phone
