Back Up Applications:

  1. Tap “Apps” while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” and swipe to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Lastly, check the box associated with “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Under “Personal” tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup service”
  3. Tap “Backup”
  4. Select to back up the contacts on the “Internal storage”, “SD card” or “Cloud”
  5. Tap “Next” and enable “Personal data” (clear all the other options)
  6. Tap “Next” > “Start”
  7. When the “Back up completed” message appears, tap “Done”

Back Up Data on the SD Card:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Under “Personal” tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup service” and go to “Backup”
  4. Tap “SD Card” > “Next” and select the items you want to back up
  5. Tap “Next” > “Start” and wait for the backup process to finish
  6. At the “Back up Completed” prompt, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Use the USB cable to connect the LG Escape 2 to your computer
  2. When prompted, tap “Media sync (MTP)”. Otherwise enable the option from the notification area
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to browse the phone’s directories
  4. Navigate to the folder containing the media files you wish to back up
  5. Copy the files and navigate to the desire backup location on your computer’s HDD
  6. Paste the files and once the transfer is done, click the “Mass storage device” icon from the system tray, eject the phone storage and disconnect the device

Back Up Media Files on the Smartphone’s Storage:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Under “Personal” Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “Backup” and select either “Internal storage”, “SD card” or “Cloud”
  5. Tap “Next” and check the box next to “Media data”. Clear all the other options
  6. To select specific media files, expand the “Media data” directory
  7. When ready, tap “Next” > “Start”
  8. At the “Back up Completed” pop-up, tap “Done”
