Clear an Applications Cache / Data:
NOTE: In case one (or more) of your third party apps doesnt work as intended, you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the apps cache / data.
WARNING! Clearing an apps data will result in the deletion of personal information stored within the app, including saved games, profiles, credit card information, high scores etc. As such, to avoid losing personal data its recommended that you first try solving these issues by clearing the apps cache.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings > General tab
- Under Phone Management tap Apps
- Swipe to All and select the app you need to fix
- Tap Clear cache
- If the app still causes problems, tap Clear data > OK
Clear the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: Much like clearing an apps cache, you can also clear the phones cache partition if you experience issues with your device. This is an alternative to factory resetting the phone, and can solve numerous issues without having to delete all the personal data stored on the internal memory.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings and access the General tab
- Tap Storage
- Once the phone calculates the data, tap Cached data > OK
- Wait for the phone to clear the cache. Depending on the amount of cached data, this process can take several minutes to complete

Enable Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: If one of your third party applications causes issues on your phone and prevents you from removing it, you can easily dispose of it by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled. To turn on Safe mode:
- Turn off your smartphone
- Power on the device
- At the LG logo, press and hold the Volume Down button until you see the home screen
- Once it reboots, the phone should show a Safe mode label in the lower-left corner of the screen
- To remove an app, go to the phones Settings menu
- Under Device tap Apps
- Swipe to the Downloaded screen and select the app you wish to remove
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe mode, press and hold Power then tap Power off and restart
