Via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the LG V10.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- After it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes
- Click the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- In iTunes, register your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, register the same Google account on the LG V10 and set it to sync contacts with the device
Via iCloud:
NOTE: If youve used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts as a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- In iCloud, go to Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings and select Export vCard
- Wait for the file to be downloaded on the computer and import it to Google Contacts. Otherwise skip this step and instead:
- Connect the LG V10 to your computer via USB and transfer the vCard file to the phones storage. Then, import the vCard files contents using the Contacts application
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The methods above require access to a computer, but you can also transfer your contacts using third party applications instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app
- Tap Backup to create a backup file containing your contacts
- Tap Email and compose a new email containing the backup file as an attachment
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the LG V10 and open the email
- Download the attached file, and use the Import option within the Contacts app to add the vCard files contents to your phonebook
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party application for iOS and Android - that can be used for transferring contacts cross-platform, without needing a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the LG V10 via the Google Play Store
- Launch the application on both devices
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Choose a transfer method. You can tap Receive on the LG V10 and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone, or you can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the V10s camera to begin the transfer
