Use iTunes to Sync iPhone Contacts With Google:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data as well as contacts with the LG K5.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer using the Lightning cable
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the “Info” tab
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google contacts”
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account if applicable
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. After the process is complete, switch to the LG K5, sign in with the same Google account as the one used in iTunes, and allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Export iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone have already been backed up with your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in a vCard file which can be transferred and imported on the LG K5.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the PC
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, you can perform one of the two following steps:
    • Import the file to “Google Contacts”
    • Connect the LG K5 to your PC via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage and use the “Contacts” application to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require computer access, alternatively you can transfer the contacts on your iPhone using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a backup file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. After the file is created, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and make sure the vCard is attached to it
  5. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  6. Next, switch to the LG K5, open the email, download the vCard file attachment, and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Last but not least, Send Anywhere is another iOS and Android app that can be used for contact transfer without requiring a PC. The application uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform.

  1. Open the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. From the Google Play Store, install the same app on the LG K5
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method. EX: you can tap “Receive” on the LG K5 and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the K5’s camera
