Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data and contacts with the LG Stylo 2.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively you can click Configure and select an account from the list
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is complete, switch to the LG device, sign in with the same Google account, and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts From iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up to your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and wait for the file to be downloaded on the computer
- Once done, follow one of these steps:
- Import the vCard file to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the LG Stylo 2 to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the LG phones storage, and use Contacts to import the file to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Other methods to transfer iPhone contacts rely on third party applications, without requiring access to a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app
- Tap Backup to create a backup vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
- After the vCard is done, tap Email
- Write a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and the attachment to your own address
- Switch to the LG Stylo 2, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app that can be used to transfer contacts without requiring a computer. The application uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types, even cross-platform.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the LG Stylo 2
- Open the app on both handsets
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as Receive on the LG Stylo 2 or Generate QR Code on the iPhone. Follow the on-screen prompts
