Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone management”
  4. Tap “Battery & power saving” and enable the feature
  5. Enable or disable the available battery saving options as you desire
  6. Select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  5. Disable the “Game optimizer” option

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings” and set the switch to “OFF”

Disable Connectivity Features When Unused:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when unused, you can conserve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Access the “Networks” tab
  4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
  5. Set the toggle to “Off”
  6. Return to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to “OFF”
  7. Return to the “General” tab
  8. Under “Personal”, tap “Location (GPS)" > “Mode”
  9. Enable “Battery saving (networks only)”

Switch to 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity to conserve battery life until the next recharge.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Select “GSM only”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Display” tab
  3. Scroll to “Basic Settings”
  4. Tap “Brightness” and drag the slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, like “15 seconds”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Enable “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party applications can perform background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. As such, you could improve battery life in the long run by disabling or removing unused third party applications.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Apps” and access “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to disable the app
  7. To remove the app from the device, tap “Uninstall” instead

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. On the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Disable “Auto-sync data”
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account / app to change its sync settings
