Turn on Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Battery & Power saving” under “Phone Management”
  4. Enable Power saving mode
  5. Enable or disable the available Power saving options
  6. Select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Turn Off Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions” and tap “Smart settings”
  4. Set the option to “OFF”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “General”
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  5. Turn off “Game optimizer”

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Under “Basic Settings”, tap “Brightness”
  4. Swipe the brightness slider towards the left to decrease the screen’s brightness
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

Turn Off Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot while these features are unused, you can conserve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Tethering”
  5. Set the “Mobile data” toggle to “OFF”
  6. Return to “Settings”
  7. Set the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to “OFF”
  8. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” (GPS)
  9. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you want to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can do so by switching to 2G connectivity.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “More” under “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Enable “GSM Only”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “menu”
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts and applications to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Accounts & Sync” under “Personal”
  4. Turn off “Auto-sync data”
  5. Under “Accounts”, select an account / app to change its sync settings

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: some third party applications perform regular background processes and can affect battery life even when not in use. By removing or disabling unused third party applications, you can improve battery life.

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Apps”
  5. Access “Downloaded”
  6. Tap and hold the desired application
  7. Tap “Disable” or “Force stop” to disable the app
  8. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”
