Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Open Settings and access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & power saving
- Enable power saving, and enable or disable the available battery saving options
- Lastly, choose a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Launch Settings
- Access the Display tab
- Scroll to Basic settings and tap Brightness
- Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
- Tap Screen timeout and choose a lower value such as 30 seconds
Adjust Video Quality in Games:
- Open Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Phone Management
- Tap Battery & Power saving
- Turn off Game optimizer
Turn Off Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Access Settings
- Go to the Networks tab and scroll to Connectivity
- Tap Tethering > Mobile Hotspot and disable the option
- Go back to Settings and tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- Scroll to Personal and tap Location for additional GPS options
- Tap Mode and enable Battery saving (Networks only)
Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:
NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can temporarily switch to 2G networks to conserve battery life until the next recharge.
- Open Settings
- Go to the Networks tab if necessary
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap More
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Choose GSM only
Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings and disable the option
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party apps can perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Go to Settings and access the General tab if needed
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Go to Downloaded then tap and hold the desired app
- Tap Force stop / Disable to turn off the app
- To remove the app from the phone, tap Uninstall instead
Disable Background Data:
- Launch Settings
- Access the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Turn on Restrict background data
- Tap OK to confirm
Reduce Sync:
NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to reduce sync, you could improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Personal
- Access Accounts & Sync
- Optionally, turn off Auto-sync data
- Scroll to Accounts, select an account / app, and change the sync settings as desired
