Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  2. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & power saving”
  3. Enable power saving, and enable or disable the available battery saving options
  4. Lastly, choose a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Scroll to “Basic settings” and tap “Brightness”
  4. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and choose a lower value such as “30 seconds”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Phone Management”
  3. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Turn off “Game optimizer”

Turn Off Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the option
  5. Go back to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
  6. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” for additional GPS options
  7. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving (Networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can temporarily switch to 2G networks to conserve battery life until the next recharge.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab if necessary
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Choose “GSM only”

Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings” and disable the option

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps can perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings” and access the “General” tab if needed
  2. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
  3. Go to “Downloaded” then tap and hold the desired app
  4. Tap “Force stop” / “Disable” to turn off the app
  5. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” instead

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your accounts / apps to reduce sync, you could improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal”
  3. Access “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Optionally, turn off “Auto-sync data”
  5. Scroll to “Accounts”, select an account / app, and change the sync settings as desired
