Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery saver” and set the switch to ON
  5. You can also select a battery percentage at which the mode can turn on automatically

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab
  4. Under “Connectivity”, tap “Tethering”
  5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the option
  6. Go back to “Settings” and tap the “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” switches OFF
  7. Tap “Location” under “Personal” for more GPS options
  8. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving (Networks only)”

Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery life, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “More” under “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Enable “GSM only”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. If necessary, access the “Display” tab
  3. Tap “Brightness" under “Basic settings”
  4. Drag the brightness slider to the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Smart functions”
  3. Tap “Smart settings” to enable or disable the option

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Turn off “Game optimizer”

Change Sync Settings to Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By reducing the amount of data synced by your phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  2. Scroll to “Personal” and access “Accounts & sync”
  3. Optionally, turn off “Auto-sync data”
  4. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account or app
  5. Change the desired sync settings to reduce sync

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes, and as such they can affect battery life even when they are not actively in use. By turning off or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Apps” and go to “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to disable the app, or:
  7. Tap “Uninstall” to remove the app from the phone
