Hi everyone; got a question that I hope someone can help with. I had T-Mobile, with a Pearl 8100, but then the economy tanked so now I'm on MetroPCS, but I miss my Pearl and it's got a lot of stuff I still use (alarms, audiobooks, etc). MetroPCS has a Pearl now but I can't afford to buy it, plus I'd probably lose the software I've got on my old T-Mo Pearl (which I also can't afford to re-buy).
Is it possible to rig the T-Mo Pearl to run on MetroPCS's network by cloning the Pearl to my Metro line? I asked the Metro people to just flash the T-Mo Pearl but they said it wasn't possible. Thanks everyone.

No, this wouldn't be possible.
Yes, Metro PCS does have "metro flash" which is supposed to be able to make some phones work on their network...but for 1) it doesn't work with smartphones, 2) it only works with CDMA devices.
T-Mobile uses a SIM Card network called GSM. It doesn't work and isn't compatible with CDMA (non-SIM Card) networks.
It is not possible.

1. it does work with smart phone but the problem is that your phone is a gsm phone meaning sim chip and that will not work..
