How-to: send pictures to metro phone from email

hi, i used to do this a lot with verizon. i would send ringtones, and pictures to my phone via email. with metro, i am only able to send ringtones.

i attach the ringtones to an email, and send it to (my number)@mymetropcs.com

that works great, but when i do the same thing, except attach a picture instead, it does not work. i get the message, but no picture is there.

i tried changing the format of the picture from .jpg to .png and neither worked. does anybody know how to do this?
