I haven't been able to text message people on my droid 3 smartphone.
at first i didn't know why, but my father and I narrowed down the problem. I didn't have the right phone number for my contacts. at first i thought this was my error, but it turns out i entered the phone number in correctly when i made a new contact. So if the number is entered correctly, then why wasn't the text being sent? It's because when you enter a phone number in when you make a new contact by default it puts "+1" in front of the number; making my texts unable to send because it's technically 'the wrong number'.
tl;dr: how do get rid of the default +1 on a contact's number?
