    Hello,

I am confused... I tried to add an MP3 ringtone to my phone that was 20 seconds and a bitrate of 60, but when I add the file (even with the .mp3 extension) I still cannot apply it as the ringtone to my phone. It doesn't show up as a .mp3 in my phone and I cannot apply it. What is the easiest workaround?

    Thanks!!

How did you "add" the ringtone to your phone? Buy at an Internet site and have it sent? Tranfer the file from a PC by USB cable? Transfer the file from a PC with Bluetooth?

It doesn't show up as an MP3? What does it show up as? Can you play it as a song even if you can't apply it as a ring tone?

What folder are you trying to add your ringtones from?

I've tried to add them to the RINGTONES folder, but it automatically moved them to the AUDIO folder.

    Thanks for your replies.

P.S. I do NOT want to use BitPim.

I Have a razr2 and I have the same issue. I can add mp3 and wave files, but they dont show up as ringers. I have noticed the ones that work have an icon of an unlocked padlock on them, when i browse my media, i see my ringtones in there, and can play them, they do not have an unlocked padlock icon and i cannot use them as ring tones.

can someone tell me what to do ?
