Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Moto G 2015 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down
  3. Make sure the USB connection is set to “Disk drive”
  4. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer”
  5. Access the “Media” folder on your phone and preferably, navigate to “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
  6. Open a second Explorer window and locate the audio files on your computer
  7. Copy the desired audio files, and transfer them on your phone (first Explorer window)
  8. Once the transfer is done, click the mass storage device icon in the system tray, eject the phone storage, and disconnect it from the computer

Change the Phone’s Ringtone:

  1. Tap “All apps”
  2. Tap “Settings” and swipe to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound”
  4. Under “Call Ringtone & Vibrate” tap “Phone ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  6. Optionally tap “Also vibrate for calls” to enable or disable vibration

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts stored on the SIM or the phone memory

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Contacts”
  3. Select the desired contact and tap the “Edit” icon
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  5. Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” screen
  2. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
  3. Under “Sound”, tap “Default Notification Sound”
  4. Select the notification sound you want and tap “OK” to confirm
