Je suis James et tellement contente d'avoir trouvé ce site! J'ai essayé de trouver des informations sur la fusion de HTC. J'ai commandé une unité verrouillée en dehors d'eBay, et il n'était pas sûr que ça marcherait pour moi. Donc, dans ma recherche d'informations, je suis tombé sur ce site. Heureusement, comme je l'ai déjà j'ai obtenu une réponse informative de membre John. J'espère en apprendre plus sur les téléphones cellulaires de ce site dans un avenir proche. Hey Thanks, Avenue! It's good to know that a body is "Welcome"! As I said, I hope to learn more about the newer phones and their technology. As for me, I'm a real novice when it comes to these high-tech phones. But, I thought it'd be a good idea to get on the bandwagon and learn as much as I can. So, I thought getting the Merge would be a good place to start. No, I haven't received as of yet. But when I do, I'll post and let everyone know. As I'm sure I'll need some guidance in getting familiar with it. By the way, do you know of anyone that owns or has used an unlocked HTC Merge? Or do you know of any issues pro or con using this particular phone? Anyway, thanks again for your response!

I'm sure you will learn a lot by browsing the forum. There is a lot of information on here.

I don't know of anybody that has that phone, but it looks like a decent stater phone. I know some people don't like HTC Sense, so you'll need to see if you like that or not. Personally, I like the basic Android layout, without any extras that manufacturers like to put on. I'm sure some find it useful though.

I see it has a 3.8" screen. That's nice. My first two Android phones were 3.5" screens, and that was good, but now I like a bigger screen. 3.8" might not sound like it's much different, but it is. I remember using a phone with a 3.2" screen and it was difficult to use compared to a 3.5" screen, so I think you'll like the size of the screen on your phone.

Is the phone you're getting still running Android 2.2 or has it been upgraded? If it hasn't, you can try upgrading it yourself (at your own risk) by searching online. You might want to wait until you're a little more comfortable with Android before you do that though. I usually recommend you only make modifications to a device if you're planning on getting another soon. That way, if you break it, you're able to afford purchasing another one and it won't be too upsetting because you would have been planning on getting another one anyway.

If you want, after you get the phone you can post a review. I'd like to hear what you think about the HTC Merge.
