One of my very very very good friends told me that the phone wont be available in any stores until sometime next week or by the 15th at the latest!!! I also went to another store and the guy said the same thing..that no stores will have them until next week sometime!!! They both said that the 870 will be out by the 1st of November and that it WILL replace the 860! Also, they both said that there will be 4 new phones by the end of the year...the 930 is 1, the 870 is 2....what are phones 3 and 4???? Just thought I'd post this

well i got mine in store sprint owned store at that, they have 2 and keep 2 in stock...i did figure out that u can transfer the contacts, you have to read the manual, its a lil drawn out but it works

I ordered my yesterday and received my today. I played with it for 20 mins and slowly the screen became white. I tried to turn it off and it wouldn't shut down. Took the battery out and restarted it and it worked again.
Played with it for another 5 mins and it happened again.
I'm going to check it out more this weekend, but if it continues its going back.

i went to look at them the other day and they were like a fatter 860. i wasnt to keen about it and i am just going to wait for the 870. but as for being sold out, that store had plenty i believe?

Has your phone failed at all. White screen or restart at all??

What a crock! How incompetent and inconsiderate can a major company be? They didn't even have enough phones in stock for their web sales to ship their first day orders! Did they honestly think that this phone would be received and shunned? I am appaled that they 1) didn't have enough phones to ship the very first day 2) didn't communicate with ANY of the sales or customer service people about what is happening or when they MIGHT expect to complete orders or 3) can reply to questions sent to them electronically (since no one in management is willing to take a call). I am sadly dissappointed by this new Nextel - now screwed up with Sprint! Thanks for letting me vent.

my phone works fine no problems yet (knock on wood) the only problem that I have had is receiving MMS messages. I called nextel and they said there's a "kink" in the system and assured me that it would be worked out
