    2 part question.
i have a rogers pay as you go phone. can you switch it to a fido contract? i have a rogers phone.

they run off the same towers I think, so that means they would have the same network coverage?

To answer the 2nd question: they are the same company - Rogers owns Fido.

they are not the same company, nor do they have the same network coverage.

Rogers owns Fido yes, but they are very different.

Fido is good for student plans, billing per second, but lacking in phones and coverage (you pay 7$ more for rogers coverage)

Rogers is good for 15% bundle (tv, internet, phone, cell) and choice of phones.

Ya, guess I didn't think about that - figured that when Rogers took over another company they were basically assimilated (as in services) under their main umbrella.

Thanks for pointing that out for us and clarifying my bad for the original poster .
