I am using TrevE's (found at XDA-Developers Forums) Wifi tether app on my Galaxy SIII (rooted) and when I stop using the tether, my Wifi will not resume without restarting the phone. The Wifi tether app shuts off the Wifi card for outside routers and uses it as its own router, allowing other devices access to the phones 3G and 4G service (as it is intended to do) but when I stop the tether service, the app is supposed to relaunch the Wifi card for connecting to routers and does not do so. I was just curious if anyone else is noticing this issue and possibly found a solution. Thanks.

Have you tried other apps like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...om.foxfi&hl=en ?

Re: Samsung Galaxy SIII 32GB: Wifi Teathering
Thanks for your response but Google Play reports that this app is not available on my carrier, and thus, will not allow me to download it to try. I do not use the wireless tether very ofte but would like to find something dependable that will give me the functionality.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SIII 32GB: Wifi Teathering
Interesting, I didn't know they disabled by carrier - I'm surprised it's not blocked from mine (Verizon).
Anyway, maybe try this? FoxFi Installer
