Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes on your computer you can use the application to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can re-sync the contacts from Google with your Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3. NOTE: this method requires the computer to be connected to the Internet

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to access the summary page
  4. Access the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  6. Register your Google account in iTunes. Optionally click "Configure" and select an existing account
  7. Click "Apply" to start the syncing process
  8. Register the same Google account on the Xcover 3 and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you've used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access the account on your computer and export the backed up contacts in a VCF file for Android.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your PC and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to "Contacts" and select the contacts you want to export
  4. Click the "Settings" button and select "Export vCard"
  5. Want for the file to be downloaded and import it to "Google Contacts". Alternatively follow the next step instead:
  6. Connect the Galaxy Xcover 3 to the computer via USB and transfer the VCF file to the storage. Then open "Contacts" and press "Menu" > "Import /Export" > "import from SD card" (or "Storage", depending on the location you've transferred the file in)

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: The two methods above require access to a computer hooked up to the Internet. Alternatively can transfer contacts using third party apps, such as "My Contacts Backup". It's an iOS app that can be used to back up contacts and transfer them via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file is created, tap "Email"
  4. With the backup file attached to the email, send it to your own Gmail address
  5. Switch to the Xcover 3 and open the email
  6. Download the attached backup file and import it using the "Contacts" app

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app for both Android and iOS, which can be used to transfer contacts and other types of files via a P2P connection.

  1. From the Google Play store, install "Send Anywhere" on the Xcover 3
  2. Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap "Send"
  6. Lastly, select a sharing method. You can tap "Receive" on the Xcover 3 and manually enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone, or you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone and scan the code with the Xcover 3 camera to begin the transfer
