Enable Power Saving Mode:
NOTE: Using power saving mode you can limit the CPU performance, disable touch key lights, vibration feedback etc. This can greatly improve battery performance so use it when in need.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to System and tap Battery
- Tap the Power saving mode slider to ON
- Tap Start power saving and select a battery percentage at which the mode activates automatically
Enable Ultra Power Saving Mode:
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to System and tap Battery
- Enable the Ultra power saving mode slider
- Tap Agree in the terms and conditions pop-up
- After the mode activates, you can tap + to add additional apps to the home screen. These apps will run in Ultra power saving mode
Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS:
NOTE: You can improve your phones battery life on the long run by disabling connectivity features when they are not in use (such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth).
- Tap Apps and go to Settings
- Swipe to Connections
- Tap the services you want to disable
Disable Background Data:
- Tap Apps > Settings
- Under Connections tap Data usage
- Tap More > Restrict background data
- Tap OK to confirm
Change the Sync Settings:
- Go to the phones Settings screen
- Tap Accounts under Personal
- Select an account
- Clear any check boxes associated with features you dont want to sync
- When ready to save the changes, press Menu > Sync now
Adjust the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Tap Display under Device
- Tap Brightness and lower the level to reduce battery consumption
- Tap Screen timeout and allow the display to timeout faster (such as 15 seconds)
Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:
NOTE: Some of your third party apps run processes in the background even when you dont use them. You can improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third party apps
- Tap Apps > Settings
- Under Device tap Applications
- Tap Application manager
- Swipe to Downloaded
- Select the desired app
- Tap Disable / Force stop or Uninstall
Switch from 4G to 2G:
- From Settings, swipe to Connections
- Tap More connection settings
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Select GSM only
Keep Your Phone Updated:
NOTE: Software updates can include improvements to battery life, so its recommended to keep your phone up to date. To check for new updates:
- Tap Apps > Settings
- Swipe to System
- Tap About device > System updates
- Follow the on-screen prompts if a new update is available
