I am getting ready to buy Datapilot for my Verizon Samsung a650. I am doing this in order to download ringtones, etc. Am I wasting my money or does this actually work? Verizon rep told me no way to get ringtone unless through get it now (as they are probably told to do.)

Yes Datapilot is great software, but the Samsung A650 will not hold ringtones once the phone shuts off.
When you turn the phone back on the ringers you set for key people will change everytime the phone cycles off & on. Samsung knows off this problem & have give me the run around. I am now going to the CEO of both Samsung & Verizon about this phone since this problem as been going on since last September.

I had a similar problem. Solved it by being sure the area code was entered into the phonebook for numbers I wanted to use distinctive ringtones on. Works great now.

Area code is there on all of them. Samsung knows this is a problem.
