GT-S5230W: kill all sound except phone and alarm?

I've got a Samsung GT-S5230W and have a problem with the sounds I can't turn off. I read the manual and didn't find it.
I want sound on my alarm and phone calls, of course, but want to turn off the annoying sounds when touching anything else.
Sorry for the boring newbie question, but I really did rtfm and couldn't figure it out (extra excuses: older person and new to smartphones )
