Should I buy now or wait? (xperia s)

Hi guys! Im planning to buy xperia arc s but I heard that xperia s is coming..what can you suggest?hehe should I buy arc s? Or should I wait for the xperia s..? I also heard that xperia s is coming out at the end of the quarter and that's march so it's kind of long..and I'm already excited to buy a new phone.xD.I'm from the philippines by the way. And do you guys have any idea how much it could cost?

I handled the Xperia S at CES last week and it was pretty nice. One nice feature of the Xperia S is the 12.1mp camera. It goes into the camera app and is ready to take a pic very quickly. Not to mention it also has a dual-core 1.5GHZ processor, double the RAM (1GB) and larger & higher resolution screen (4.2" 480 x 854 vs 4.2" 720 x 1280) They didn't give me an expected price, but if you are just buying it outright I would imagine it is going to be pretty expensive.

If you don't need all that then I'm sure the Arc S will work just fine (and be cheaper).

Thanks for the reply Hmmmm...Coul it be more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S II? or cheaper? If it will be more expensive then I might go to Xperia Arc S...What I'm after is the speed of the phone and for watching movies..with no lags or crashes...though I heard rumors that in Xperia Arc S II they have problems in watching HD movies...

If i were to guess I would say more since the Galaxy S II has been out for a couple months now. Anything bran new with high end specs is going to be more.

Lag with video might be due to data connection. If that's the case then going with something that uses a new LTE network would be even better. I don't know what's available in your area though.

I would always wait until a new phone has been tested some more, has software updates and has become cheaper. If you happen to need one right now, gor for the older model of the series.

I am facing the same dilemma... I want to purchase an Android cell phone now. I was thinking about the Galaxy Nexus but the Sony designs are mind blowing (both Arc S and Xperia S). I will suggest you to go with the Arc S since the Xperia S is just announced, and it would be launched in Q2, 2012. Since we are in the Philippines, it takes a bit more time for new cell phones to reach our shore.
I'm intending to do the same, purchase Arc S now, and upgrade to Xperia S by mid 2012.
