How-to: Sony Xperia XA / Dual: Manage Contacts & Caller Groups

Create a Contact:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Launch “Contacts” and access “All Contacts”
3. Tap “+’ and select an account to sync the contact with
4. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other details in the appropriate fields
5. Tap “Done” to confirm

Import / Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” and go to “Import / Export”
3. Select to “Import from SIM card”, “Import from storage” or “Export to storage”
4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process

Add a Contact to Speed Dial using Direct Dial Widgets:

1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
2. Go to “Widgets”
3. Drag and drop the “Direct Dial” widget on top of the home screen
4. At the prompt, select the contact you want to link with the Direct Dial widget

NOTE: You can add multiple Direct Dial widgets on the home screen by repeating the steps above, and you can organize widgets in folders on the home screen. To create a folder for Direct Dial widgets, drag one widget and drop it on top of another.

Delete a Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All Contacts”
3. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
4. Tap “Menu” > “Delete”
5. Press “OK” to confirm

Create a New Caller Group Using a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All Contacts” and select the contact you want to use for creating the group
3. Tap “More fields”
4. Scroll to and tap “Group name”
5. Tap “Create new group” and enter the name for the group
6. Tap “OK” to confirm

Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All Contacts”
3. Tap the contact you want to add to a group
4. Press “Edit” > “More fields”
5. Tap “Group name” and select the desired existing caller group
6. Tap “OK”
