Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Sony Xperia XA to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and transfer the audio files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Alarms / Notifications directories
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings and scroll to Device
- Tap Sound & Notification > Phone ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
- Optionally, you can enable or disable Also vibrate for calls
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts that are located on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Launch Contacts
- Tap the desired contact and tap Edit
- Press Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & Notification
- Tap Default notification ringtone
- Tap the notification ringtone you want to use
- Press OK to confirm
