News: Sprint's HTC Evo 4G gets a software update

The Sprint HTC Evo 4G is getting ready to launch a software update, which is a minor update, but will bring some new and improved enhancements such as: improvement in voice recognition, image size issues with Bluetooth transferring will be fixed, alphabetized group contacts and issues with the sending of SMS and memory errors will be corrected.

All these issues above will be addressed and corrected with this software update. The update will be OTA, which means, you will not need a computer for the download, but instead, you should be notified on your HTC Evo 4G of the update. As with any OTA update, everyone with the HTC Evo 4G will not receive the update at the same time, therefore, stages will roll out and will probably take about a week or so for everyone to receive it. If you want to download the update manually, you can go to Settings> About Phone>. This will not guarantee that the download will start if your phone is not ready for the update. You may have to try again if the download does not happen automatically. Once the update is complete, your Evo 4G should have the 4.53.651.1 version.
