I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone currently active on Verizon. I am going to terminate the contract and pay the early termination fee. When I do so would I be able to activate this phone on Straight talk, either on Verizon or on one of their other carriers ( I believe Sprint is the other choice here)?

You can't bring your own CDMA phone to Straight Talk. You can only bring a GSM phone, meaning you can only bring an AT&T, T-Mobile, or unlocked phone to Straight Talk. It will be using AT&T's or T-Mobile's network. You can't bring a phone to use Verizon or Sprint's network at this time.
