I loved my two years with T-Mobile, but my work offered a better plan on another carrier, so I called T-Mobile to find out when my contract was to expire. I informed them of my intent to leave for another carrier. I also visited a local store on an unrelated matter, and tried to negotiate with the sales staff to see if they could offer anything similar to my employer's plan. No dice.

I canceled the first week after my contract expired. Now I have a bill for the full month of service I never received. I called T-Mobile service and was pointed to the language in the contract that said *they* have to port my number out of their system; if my new carrier does so, the amount will not be pro-rated.

I told them I had called to inform them I was leaving, which they confirmed that I had done so, but they never told me that my new provider couldn't port the number.

I'm sorry, but I will not go back to T-Mobile, and I will steer my friends and family away as well.
