    Ah! Thank you, Gaz. I fear it has been de-activated by O2.

    That means back in the bloody queue again!

    Why do they de-activate them? They've already got my money, paid in
    advance. It's in their interest to let me not use it, then they don't
    have to provide a service. I only want it for emergencies, it's always
    off and nobody knows my number.

    Because inactive customers don't make good reading for shareholders, and
    it's an opportunity to rob you of your money.

    All networks do it, O2 are not alone.
