I was playing around with my Multimeter and Samsung A530 today and found something suprising. The recharge voltage that the wall outlet and car adapter uses is 5.7volts. But the phone also appears to be capable of charging at a much lower 2.4v.

The reason I think it was charging is because the light was on and the "now charging battery icon" was across the screen at the top. Did I find a way to trick the phone into thinking it was charging or was it really charging?

My question is will the phone still be able to charge at the 2.4v albeit much slower, or does it only charge at the recomended 5.7v?
