There is no "normal" chorded ringtones, the more the chords, the more realistic.

16 chords are usually the amount that earlier phones have; like the Nokia 3200 or the Seimens A60. 32 chords are for the more advanced phones; like the Motorola V3, or the Samsung D500. It dosn't really matter how many chords your phone has, the only difference is that 32 chords sound slightly more realistic.
