I received a VK Mobile VK2000 cellphone from Asia. Other owners on the Internet are able to choose the frequency that the phone operates on...making this a quad band phone.

However, that menu option is missing on my phone. When I use the reset menu option, it defaults to Chinese characters.

1. Do you all think the phone is locked into a Chinese service provider?
2. Does anyone know how to unlock this phone? I find very little information about it online.
3. Anyone familiar with this phone/problem?

Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
