I've never heard of such a thing! Sounds like it would be a nice thing to have, but wouldn't it create an upheaval in the cell phone industry and put a lot of smaller companies out of business? Are you perhaps thinking about Cricket, who offers a service with unlimited National USA calling for $45/month? They are www.mycricket.com but it's a contract service and they aren't available everywhere. I'll keep an eye out for this unlimited international plan you speak of, but I don't see how it's feasible for a company to give away for free what generally costs 50c-99c per minute.

I'll try and find out, the offer was posted on a gambling forum, but was removed cause it wasn't gambling related.

Oh if it was a spam thread on someone else's forum site, we probably would rather not know. There is always some kind of catch to those things, and sometimes they are outright scams. I might even know what you're talking about if they are the same one that posted here. I knew it was a rip-off the second I laid eyes on it, and when I called their toll-free number they wanted my bank account information before they would even let me speak to a person! Tell me that doesn't sound like a scam! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That old adage is as good as gold, as it is seldom wrong. *remember also, if these spammers can't afford legitimate advertising and have to rely on spam tactics, do you really want to give them all your personal information? What is to keep them from selling your name to a thousand telemarketers or your email address and everything else.

this service might be real but unless your in a metro area they probably can't give you a local number. each provider has to have a license for where they can sell numbers.
