Nokia 6260 vs sony ericsson W300i

its so hard to choose nokia 6260 or sony ericsson w300i

sony ericsson w300i has walkman i think thats great sound

Nokia 6260 is a great showoff phone.

they both have radio and mp3 and good screens.

Looks : Nokia 6260 looks good as a phone but sony ericsson looks like a kids phone.

Also nokia 6260 is a smart phone it gets a point i dont really care about external screen .

As far as looks, IMO the Nokia 6260. Features are similar but the W300 has 20mb of internal memory compared to the 6260's 4.6mb. I'd go with the Nokia 6260 and just purchase a large memory card.

I say w300i. It has better internet (EDGE vs class 6 GPRS), better camera (VGA interpolated to 1.3mp vs VGA), over twice the battery life (talk time 9 hours vs 4 hours), better screen (256k vs 64k), smaller and lighter, far newer, far more memory (20+256 vs 6+32)... And judging by it's design and SE's reputation, I assume it is far more durable.. Wouldn't you expect that it would be, compared to a flip phone with a twisting screen? Don't get caught on the smartphone capabilities, symbian is somewhat buggy, and there are literally hundreds of java apps you can download for w300i. Not to mention, the mp3 player in the nokia sucks.. Mono? that means you plug your ONE-sided earpiece into the phone and listen to music through that. And forget about an easy interface for mp3s.. This looks like a no-brainer to me, w300i.

Nokia is not the best cell phone manufacture, that is subjective. Just because they have the most phones and sell the most units, that doesn't make it the best. That would be like saying Microsoft is better than Apple because it sells more OS, or NSYNC is better than Phish because they have sold more albums.

As I made clear in my first post, the w300i is a clear winner in feature set. Honestly, I think the nokia you are considering looks stupid. If bad looks is what's keeping you away from the w300i, get a RAZR, or for music a w810i. Believe me, you are gonna hate yourself listening to music on that nokia.

the twistable mechanism of the 6260 is nice, but its going to wear over time. im going with the sony for mp3 functions.for the best cell manufacturer, i wouldnt base it on the number of units sold, but how durable the phones they produce, and how of their old phones are still lingering around today esp when u hear a lot of stories how nokias have been dropped hundreds of times, and how they revived after falling into the toilet. I give credit to nokia for making good phones, so for me, nokia is the best. feature wise, im going for nokia 6260 since its faeture packed and suits my needs, and im also a fan of symbian,, the sony is just new compared to the 6260, so it depends on what you want.
