My daughter's gymnsatic coach has been dating a guy that is a private detective. She broke it off with him because she found out that he was married. The man won't leave her alone. He has told her that he is able to read ALL or her text messages that are sent from her cell phone. She knows this is true because he has told her stuff that she has sent other people that no one else would know. He says that due to his line of work he has friends that do him favors.
Can someone tell me if he really can get her text messages sent to him or a way for him to read them?? I am conserned because my daughter travels with her to meets and this guy sounds like a crazy person.
Thanks for all help.

Re: Important Question
Carriers can't read text messages. They can only see the phone numbers where they were sent and received.

Re: Important Question
Well I was once work at a SMS provider and yes I can read all the message sent through my server. I agree with alfredw1 and leximomo, she should make a report to the cellular provider and change her number.

Re: Important Question
I guess is he has a way to her mobile somehow somewhere like gym etc, or someone from carrier provider helps him (though its illegal), even if she changes her no but stays with the same carrier then problem doesnt solve, she need to go for another no with another carrier, give the new no to all the trusted friends except that gym person.

Re: Important Question
I agree, another carrier would be best. It's less hassle and safer than just assuming the trust of your current carrier if you were to solve this matter.
