Boss Locks Company Phones

Thats right, we all got this cool new cell phone to help with our work. It came with a camera and Ready Link capabilities. Then they say "someone" ruined it for all of us and now they want to lock our phones cameras. And they changed thier minds about Ready Link.

Other then changing the security code, what else could they have done to accomplish this ?
Is it possible to reset the phones security code, without loosing the plan its on ?

I cant imaging why they would feel they have to do this in the first place.
Let alone, the provider would seemingly be in support of thier efforts to play god, because its a coorperate plan, and it seems I cant add services to it on my own accord.
Is this typical ?

This makes no sense to me...
How does sending pics and using ready link affect my employers liability ?

probably depends on what you're taking a picture of. Could be sensitive documents, maybe your company is in Top Secret Materials.

Something they could've done but probably didn't was update the software so the camera is completely useless.

or just disable sending pictures across your network by changing the carrier plan.

I don't know what Ready Link is.

Either way you look at it, it's a company phone, meant to allow you to do your job, it's not however meant to let you do things in your personal life, thus should not be used for that.

If someone wants privacy, flexibility, and total control, they need to do it on their own dime.
