Petro-Canada mobility

Hello everyone I'll start by saying that I live in Canada and I'm about to buy my first cell phone. I found pretty much the best prepaid for me is with Petro-Canada. My only problem with PC (Petro-Canada) is that their phone suck pretty bad but I've learned that they are GSM with a sim card so here is my plan but I'm not 100% sure about it. I wanted to buy a cell phone with petro canada (cheapest one) to get the sim card that come with it (they sont sell sim card seperatly) then I'd buy a cell phone with no contract at Rogers then switch the sim card. Now here's my question, does my plan makes sense or is there something that wouldn't work for X reason that I don't know. I'd also like to know if the warranty is still good with the phone I buy at rogers even if I'm not using it with their sim card. Thx for the help

Re: Petro-Canada mobility

Hey xyklok, welcome to the site!

I've never personally used SIM cards or Rogers, but I do have friends that do.. supposedly a friend of mine travels to the USA once a year and just switches SIM cards so his phone then works on the USA network.. so according to what he has told me, yes it will.. but again, I've yet to try it out personally so I am basing it strictly on what he has told me
